A strategy in FORJ is a set of logical rules that define how and when your trading logic reacts to market conditions. You design strategies visually in SMITH, FORJ's strategy editor.
📄️ Start the Create Strategy Workflow
1. Click New Strategy in the sidebar.

Before building states and transitions, configure the pieces your strategy depends on — data subscriptions, variables, indicators, and trade plans. All configuration is accessed through the Strategy Toolbar (gear icon in the header).

States and transitions are the core structure of a strategy.
📄️ Review & Save
Before saving, verify the Creation Checklist is fully satisfied. The checklist appears as a collapsible dock at the bottom of the SMITH editor.
