The Hearth

The Hearth is your home screen in FORJ — the strategy dashboard where you see all your strategies at a glance, check their status, and manage them day-to-day.

When you sign in, the Hearth is the first thing you see.

What You'll See​

The Hearth displays your strategies as a grid of tiles. Each tile is a snapshot of a single strategy showing:

  • Strategy name
  • Current state — which state the strategy is currently in
  • Enabled/disabled toggle — whether the strategy is actively processing events
  • Last event — when the strategy last received data
  • Display fields — configurable fields you choose to show (candle length, symbol, custom variables, etc.)

If your workspace has no strategies yet, the Hearth shows an empty state with a prompt to create your first strategy or switch workspaces.

Quick Actions from the Hearth​

From the Hearth you can:

  • Enable or disable any strategy by toggling its power switch
  • Open SMITH to create a new strategy, load an existing one, or continue editing
  • Filter the grid to find specific strategies
  • Customize tiles to show the information you care about most
  • Access alerts, insights, and other tools from the sidebar

The Top Bar​

Above the strategy grid you'll find:

  • Workspace badge — shows your active workspace name. Click to switch workspaces or manage them.
  • Filter bar — filter buttons for narrowing down which strategies are shown
  • Alert center — the notification bell for viewing fired alerts
  • Theme toggle — switch between light and dark mode
